Project
and Site Management
a) Shipbuilding specification including referenced Standards, Regulations,
and Rules.
b) Vessel schedule with any required comments from the drawing review,
non-conformance reports, and vendor inspections that are time critical.
c) Corrective Action Reports: Addressing rectification of all non-conformance
items.
d) Inspection of machinery production and manufacturer’s location under
guidance from the site manager.
e) Inspection of Installation and testing of machinery systems.
f) Supervision of commissioning.
g) Supervision of installation / testing of Cargo handling gear.
h) Ensuring equipment conformity to specifications.
i) Verification that outfitting / installation are in compliance with
approved drawings and equipment manufacturer’s recommendations.
j) Assistance with plan approval work for new vessel construction project
k) Hull/Paint application survey at the building sites
l) Local project control, control of the site team members, plans, drawings
and all other site responsibilities.
m) Responsibility for verification of the construction milestones and overall
project schedule tracking with the shipyard’s monthly schedule update.
n) Cost controls assurance that materials and monthly tracking reports are
submitted as required by specification, and verification/certification of
progress payments.
o) Correction Action Reports: Addressing rectification of all non-conformance
items.
p) Weekly progress reports and Monthly progress reports
q) Daily inspection of activities at Site including verification of works
completed and progress against shipyard scheduled activities
r) Coordination and verification and closing out of defects noted by Site
team members
s) Coordination and liaison with shipyard and Owners regards delivery
protocols, certification and flag state inspections.
